چکیده
This paper presents a framed field experiment on ecological altruism in Mindoro, Philippines. Behavioural differences between ethnic groups Mindoro—the Tagalogs and the Mangyans—were investigated. We designed two-part donation task (i.e. dictator game) where recipient of was local reforestation project. There were two treatments: participants played either giving game (GG) or taking (TG). In first part (GG), respondents asked how much they will donate towards reforestation; second (TG), money take away from project keep for themselves. The same as first, but what do if hypothetical partner, who different ethnicity, donated half initial endowment to reforestation. Results indicate that Mangyans, are predominantly farmers, tend give more TG than GG. Tagalog not sensitive framing. Finally, other-ethnicity dynamics did have strong effect.
